Selection Guide

Choose safety clothing by the risk on site

Most buyers start with the hazard, not the product name. Tell us where your workers are and we match the protective work wear and the certificate you need.

01 / VISIBILITY

Low-light & traffic zones

Road works, logistics yards, ports and night shifts. Retro-reflective tape keeps workers visible to moving plant.

Standard EN ISO 20471 / ANSI 107
02 / FLAME

Heat, sparks & molten metal

Welding, foundries, smelting and utilities. Treated or inherently FR fabric that self-extinguishes.

Standard EN ISO 11612 / NFPA 2112
03 / ARC FLASH

Live electrical work

Power generation, substations and electrical maintenance. Arc-rated layers with defined ATPV.

Standard IEC 61482 / NFPA 70E
04 / STATIC

Explosive atmospheres

Oil & gas, petrochemical and paint plants. Conductive fibres dissipate charge before it can spark.

Standard EN 1149-5 / IEC 60079
What the labels mean

What each standard actually tests

If a tender requires a certificate, this is what each one actually tests — and which industries normally specify it.

StandardWhat it measuresTypically required by
EN ISO 20471 High-visibility clothing. Class 1–3 based on the area of fluorescent background and retro-reflective material, measured in m². Road works, rail, ports, warehousing, airport ground crews
EN ISO 11612 Protection against heat and flame. Covers limited flame spread plus code letters for convective, radiant, molten metal and contact heat. Welding, foundries, steel, utilities, oil & gas
IEC 61482-2 Arc flash protection. Reports ATPV or ELIM in cal/cm² — the energy the fabric can take before a second-degree burn. Power generation, substations, electrical contractors
EN 1149-5 Electrostatic dissipative clothing. Surface and volume resistance limits, so charge cannot build up. Petrochemical, paint and coatings, explosive dust environments
EN ISO 13688 The base garment standard: sizing, ergonomics, innocuousness, dimensional change after washing. All protective clothing — it is the prerequisite for the rest

FAQ

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Are you a safety workwear manufacturer or a trading company?

We are a manufacturer, not a trading company. Qianzhan Garment was established in 2008 and runs a 20,000 m² factory in Guangyuan, Sichuan, with more than 350 workers, in-house cutting, sewing, embroidery, printing and final inspection, and a capacity of around 100,000 pieces per month. We are certified to BSCI, ISO 9001, ISO 14000 and OEKO-TEX 100 — you are welcome to audit the facility.

What is your minimum order quantity for protective work wear?

Our standard MOQ is 1,000 pieces per colour, and mixed sizes of the same colour count together towards it. The same 1,000-piece minimum applies to a first order and a repeat order alike. Where we already hold the fabric in stock we can accept smaller trial quantities — ask before you commit to your own customer. If you nominate a special fabric we do not stock, the mill's own MOQ may apply on top.

How long does sampling and bulk production take?

A pre-production sample takes 7 working days after we receive your confirmed design, fabric and size chart, and 3–5 working days when the fabric is in stock. Courier to Europe or North America adds another 3–5 working days. Bulk production is 60 days after sample approval and deposit; peak season or very large programmes can add 15–20 days, and we recommend reserving capacity 60–90 days ahead.

Can you put our logo and labels on the garments?

Yes — embroidery, screen print, heat transfer, woven labels, printed neck labels and custom hangtags. We work from your artwork files and send a photo proof before bulk.

Do you make plus sizes and women's cuts?

Yes. We grade XS–5XL to EU, US and UK standards. For corporate orders with a specified size chart we can supply A/B alternative sizes under the same size code, and we can build a full size set from your team's measurements.

Which countries do you export to?

Our regular markets are Germany, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, the United States and the Middle East. We ship EXW, FOB Shanghai or Shenzhen, or CIF to your port.

How do I get a price?

Send the style, quantity, fabric preference and destination port, and we will quote against them. If you only have a photo of a garment you like, send that — we can work from a reference image.

Tell us the hazard. We will tell you the garment.

Send your spec, a photo, or just the standard number — and we will come back with fabric options, pricing and a sample timeline.
